My name is Mike Stoll. I am the Senior Buyer's Specialist on The Pagosa Source Team. Our Team environment is distinctly different from the more typical real estate office where it is “sink or swim” on your own and brokers are inclined to be more concerned with protecting turf than looking for opportunities to assist one another and, subsequently, their clients. The greatest asset of our Team is that it fosters a supportive working environment where we pool our knowledge and abilities to the benefit of all of our clients. My primary contribution to our Team is that I am a generalist with an analytical attention to detail as well as a pragmatist who has not lost all his ideals.
The two best attributes that I bring to any real estate transaction are that I am a person who values trust and believe it has to be earned, and as the “senior” member of our Team I have come by my gray hair honestly through the benefit of experience. The trust and needs of my clients are something I take very seriously, yet I try my best not to take myself too seriously. I also have no qualms saying, “Good questions; I do not know the answer to that” … and then utilizing the tremendous knowledge, experience, and expertise of my fellow Team members to find the answer that makes the most sense.
My road to real estate in Pagosa Springs was paved with a variety of endeavors. The University of Iowa was kind enough to grant me both an undergraduate and graduate degree, and the University of Oregon indulged me in an advanced degree as well. I have worked as an educator, as a computer programmer and analyst, as a rock climbing instructor and mountain guide, and my wife and I owned and operated an outdoor clothing design and manufacturing business for a decade. Should our real estate experience find us wandering large tracts of land together my years as an Outward Bound course director should keep us from getting lost … or at least enhance our chances of survival.
My wife, Anne Lincoln, grew up in Colorado and is a former professional freestyle skier from the golden “hot dog” days, so we both know and love the mountain lifestyle … that is why we live in Pagosa Springs. The top priorities in our lives are our son Garrett and our daughter Toni and the quality of life and lifestyle we are able to offer to them … that is why we live in Pagosa Springs, too. As a Buyer Specialist on our Team 100% of my time is spent working exclusively with buyers to help them find the property that best suits their needs. It gives me a great sense of satisfaction knowing that my day has been spent helping someone realize a dream as significant as owning a piece of the most beautiful spot in Colorado!
